At the convergence of Europe’s two oldest pilgrimage routes, one leading to Compostela, the other running from from Canterbury to Rome, Geneva is the ideal city to reflect on walking as a conscious, ritualistic, and transformative act.
On September 22nd, three writers from the acclaimed anthology WAYS OF WALKING will be leading a writing intensive workshop for those who want to shape and share their own walking or pilgrimage stories:
– Editor and essayist Ann de Forest, on learning to walk in Los Angeles
– Novelist Nathaniel Popkin, on walks of witness on stolen lands in Chile & the USA
– Award-winning travel writer Paula Read, on walking the pilgrim’s road through Geneva
The cost includes the workshop, a signed copy of the anthology, readings, guided writing exercises and feedback, apéro & snacks.
The workshop will last 3 hours, 6:30-9:30.
