In this walk we walk through Rotterdam, along the river, stopping at each bridge fish to listen, then to reflect on the differences we can hear compared to the other bridges.
The repetition of the bridge form allows us to more acutely sense the contrast between each of them, to experience and appreciate them more directly.
This walk began life as a thought experiment by the author, attempting to recall in good detail a walk along the River Lagan in his home in Belfast, while in lockdown in Holland.
It is hoped that this walk will serve as initiation of a continued practice of comparative walks.
