An invitation to join all or part of a socially distanced relay walk.

Walking and reading the names of of those who died of poverty in Bath Union Workhouse over a hundred years ago. More than three thousand men, women and children buried in unmarked graves. The first time their names have been spoken in that place since their burial. Each name, day by day, week by week and year by year of their burial.

On Sunday 6 September, walkers will be joined by Bath City Jubilee Waits who will play between 11.30 and 12.00. Their set will include some sad tunes and some more cheerful sounds that might have been heard at a village wake. There will also be poetry reading and discussion. The old workhouse bell will toll.

The event is weather dependent.

Beginning at 10.00, the event will restart each hour, on the hour with a short briefing.

If there are enough readers we hope to run until 15.00.
