The Macquarie Marshes Sound Walk is a rare opportunity to visit and learn more about the Macquarie Marshes wetland and floodplain, in central North-West NSW — the site of the three-year international MOSSES AND MARSHES project, co-led by Kim V. Goldsmith (AU) and Andrew Howe (UK). The event will happen over two days, taking in the MOSSES AND MARSHES exhibition before moving on to the Marshes to see, hear, touch and smell the wetlands, and use audio equipment to discover the ‘hidden’ sounds that make the place vibrate.
Places are limited due to the location and nature of the event. Bookings close on 29 April. Details and a booking link are on the website.
The walk will be led by Kim V. Goldsmith. The event has been supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW, Outback Arts, Macquarie Wetlands Association and RiverSmart.
