The Schuylkill Falls Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia
presents an evening of readings from contributors to Ways of Walking (New Door Books, 2022), an anthology that asks “is walking a subversive act?”
Featured readers:
Ann de Forest, editor of Ways of Walking; poet, essayist, fiction writer whose work explores our relationship with place.
Dwight Sterling Dunston, aka Sterling Duns, a West Philly-based facilitator, hip-hop artist, educator, and activist who has brought his creativity, care, and compassion to homes, schools, community centers, retirement homes, festivals, and stadiums all over the country and internationally.
Nathaniel Popkin, author of seven books of fiction and non-fiction, and co-editor of the anthology Who Will Speak for America?
Questions, conversation, and a book signing will follow the readings.
Audience will receive the first in a series of Ways of Walking Scorecards — walking scores inspired by the book’s 26 essays
