Are you ready for a secret encounter? Download the free Hidden Gems app and let us take you on an exciting musical journey through the city.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Together with Radiomakers Desmet, Calefax Reed Quintet created a musical treasure hunt throughout the city. To make the journey you need the Hidden Gems app, which you can download for free in the app store. The audio tour is available in six cities: Amsterdam, Groningen, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Delft and Nijmegen. You can choose from a Dutch or English spoken version.

THE ROUTE
The search begins at the Central Station and leads you along 5 different places in the city, which are indicated in the app. Depending on your exact route and pace, the trip takes about 1.5 hours.

At the last stop, The Park, we have hidden a real treasure. Can you find it? Check out the directions carefully. A nice surprise awaits you.

TIPS!
The Hidden Gems app uses GPS. Turn on Location Services / GPS on your phone and allow the app to use it.

We recommend using real headphones instead of earplugs for the optimal audio experience.

Keep an eye on your surroundings and traffic during the tour!

Listen to some short fragments from the Treasure Hunt as a preview on our website: https://calefax.nl/en/hiddengems/treasure-hunt.

Bridging History

The Bridging History series tells the tale of the colonisation and settlement of Dubbo, on Wiradjuri Country in Central West NSW Australia, through built infrastructure that changed the Wambuul Macquarie River forever. The bridges cross water and land with a much older story to tell. Today, you can cross all three bridge sites by walking, running or cycling the Tracker Riley Cycleway that loops around the river.
